The Chalet
The chalet is located in La Station de Sainte-Foy at 1550m. It is a 5-bedroom, 4-bathroom chalet arranged over 3 floors.
The entrance brings you into the open plan living area on the middle floor. There is a large fireplace in the centre of the living area, surrounded by comfortable seating. To one side there is a large Hi-Def LCD TV and DVD with access to the full Hi-Def Sky package. There is also a Naim-based HiFi system that is integrated with the TV and DVD. An extensive DVD library covers most tastes, including children's titles.
The living area looks out onto the main balcony with stunning views directly across the Tarantaise valley and down to Bourg-St-Maurice. The balcony is covered and perfect for use in both winter and summer. In the winter the sun sets opposite the chalet and in the summer the sun sets down the valley to the West.
The dining area is next to the kitchen, divided by a large breakfast bar. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you would expect to find in your own kitchen.
Also on this level and directly outside is the large "Cave", home to hot water tanks, washing machine and dryer, storage for skis, poles and other kit as well as the all-important boot heaters.
On the lower level in the Chalet there is a double bedroom with en-suite shower and two twin rooms that can both be expanded to sleep 3, a separate toilet and separate bathroom. All rooms have built-in cupboards or large freestanding drawers as well as plenty of hanging space. These 3 bedrooms also share a large south-facing balcony with access to the chalet's hot tub.
Both of the lower floors benefit from under-floor heating as well as electric radiators throughout.
The top floor contains the master bedroom and en-suite bathroom and has its own south-west facing private balcony. Internally, the master bedroom overlooks the living space and large void under the eaves. The fifth bedroom, a twin with en-suite shower, toilet and basin, is accessed via the gallery landing which contains more storage space and a desk with broadband internet access. The Chalet is equipped with WiFi and has its own Laptop for Internet and Hotmail access, as well as its own e-mail address.
The chalet is in a quiet location 2 minutes from the ski lift. The local shops, bars and restaurants and a small supermarket are very near by.
